Who can be a Member of Glenview
Hangar One Foundation (“Hangar One”)?
A: Anyone who is interested in supporting our mission and goals.
Our membership consists of US military veterans and active US military personnel, and US civilians
(individuals, families, and students) who have a connection to Naval
Air Station Glenview, are patriotic or have an interest in military
aviation. We have student members as young as 5 years old, and senior
citizen members in their 80s and beyond ::

Q:
What are my responsibilities as a member of Glenview
Hangar One Foundation?
A: We ask you to pay annual dues, and select a choice of membership
contribution levels. Hangar One recommends joining at the Cornerstone,
Sponsor and Family membership levels. As a member in good standing,
you will also be asked to cast your vote at balloting times, for

Q:
What are the advantages of membership to Glenview
Hangar One Foundation?
A: You will be part of a growing nationwide organization of people
who recognize and honor the role played by the veterans of Naval
Air Station Glenview in World War II and subsequent military conflicts.
We worked to preserve its icon, Hangar One as part of The Glen Town
Center, and develop Navy Park
for inclusion in The Glen Town Center. Future goals of the Glenview
Hangar One Foundation include the creation of a permanent Naval
Air Station Glenview Museum and a Challenger Learning Center (an
educational facility emphasizing the application of science to the
field of aviation) to be located in Glenview, preferably in the
Glen at the Glen Town Center. The current Naval Air
Station Glenview
Museum is located in temporary
space at 1951 Tower
Drive at the Glen
Town Center
(next to Jos. A. Bank).
For 2004, a new membership category, Cornerstone, has been created.
For a minimum $500 donation, Cornerstone contributors (with consent)
are recognized in perpetuity as contributors to
the Naval Air Station Glenview Museum as all proceeds from Cornerstone contributions are restricted to the budget
for the execution of the Naval Air Station Glenview Museum.
Cornerstone sponsors also receive a one-year
membership to the Glenview Hangar One Foundation.
Your membership dues are fully tax-deductible, as Hangar One is a not-for-profit
501 (C) (3) entity under the US Tax Code. Members receive a newsletter,
published several times each year, informing them of the Foundation's
current activities and future plans. You are eligible to vote at
the Annual Meeting, and at other times for other issues, and participate
in the special aviation related, and awareness fund raising, events
Hangar One sponsors during the year.
